The cross product produces a vector that is perpendicular to both original vectors.

Important notes (Algebra 2 level):

  • Cross product is mainly used in 3D

  • The result is a vector, not a number

  • Direction follows the right-hand rule (conceptual understanding only)

  • Engineering
