Explanation

An irrational exponent is an exponent that is not a whole number, such as fractions or roots.

Examples:
x¹ᐟ² = √x
x³ᐟ² = √(x³)

Rule:
xᵐ⁄ⁿ = ⁿ√(xᵐ)

These exponents connect exponents and radicals.
