Explanation
A polynomial is an expression made up of variables, coefficients, and exponents that are whole numbers.
General form:
aₙxⁿ + aₙ₋₁xⁿ⁻¹ + … + a₁x + a₀
Rules for polynomials:

Exponents must be whole numbers (0, 1, 2, 3, …)

No variables in the denominator

No square roots of variables
Examples of polynomials:
