Explanation

Density measures how much mass is packed into a given volume.

Formula:
Density = mass ÷ volume
or
D = m ÷ V

Key ideas:

  • High density → more mass in less space

  • Low density → less mass spread out

  • Objects can be large but not dense, or small and very dense

Common units:
