Steps:

  2. Apply the transformation to one figure.

  3. Use properties to compare the transformed figure to the other.

  4. Conclude congruence or similarity.

Example:

  • Prove triangles are congruent using rotation and translation.

  • Prove shapes are similar using dilation.

Why important: Makes proofs visual and easier than classical triangle proofs.
