Explanation

A rotation turns a shape around a fixed point, called the center of rotation.

Key points:

  • Direction: clockwise or counterclockwise

  • Angle of rotation: how much it turns (e.g., 90°, 180°)

  • Center remains fixed

Example: Rotate point (3,0) 90° counterclockwise around origin → (0,3)
