Volume is the amount of space inside a 3D object.

  • Measured in cubic units (cm³, m³)

Common volume formulas:

  • Rectangular prism:
    V = l × w × h

  • Cube:
    V = s³

  • Cylinder:
    V = πr²h

  • Sphere:
    V = (4/3)πr³

Surface area is the total area of all faces on the outside.

  • Measured in square units

Examples:

  • Cube:
    SA = 6s²

  • Rectangular prism:
    SA = 2lw + 2lh + 2wh
